What is your Target Black Friday style? Home in your pajamas or out in the chaos shopping?
Don’t get me wrong, I take every chance I can get to go to Target. There are always great gifts for everyone on my list. Whether it’s clothes, shoes, home decor, yummy snacks, or toys for my daughter – I can always find something at Target. Oh, and don’t forget the Christmas pajamas!
However, the idea of going out on Black Friday makes me cringe. There are too many people in my Target aisle blocking my view. Too much chaos and too much overwhelm. I just want to sip my Starbucks and leisurely roam the aisles.
Luckily, I have learned some tips to help you stress less and save money while doing your Target Black Friday shopping online. Don’t worry, you can always go into Target ahead of time to scope everything out – and get your Target fix.
This post is part of the Slickdeals sponsored program. I received compensation as a thank you for my participation. This post reflects my personal opinion about the information provided by the sponsors.
1. Have a Plan
You should always have a plan when it comes to spending money. If you don’t have a plan, everything you see will be clicked and added to the cart. Then you will either cry or feel lightheaded when you see the total at the end. Nobody wants that!
So, before you start shopping, make a list of everyone you need to shop for. Include how much you plan to spend and gift ideas. I really like using an app on my phone, like The Christmas Gift List Lite, to keep track of everything in one place.
2. Early Access for REDcard Holders for Target Black Friday
For ALL customers, doors open at 5pm on Thanksgiving. Target will close at 1am Black Friday and reopen at 7am. However, according to Slickdeals, REDcard holders will be given early access to online deals starting on Wednesday, November 27th.
So, if you have your eye on a deal at Target that you’re worried is going to sell out, then no worries: you can shop early. REDcard holders also receive 5% off all purchases (online and in store) and FREE 2-day shipping.
This is also great if you want to get a head start on your shopping and not have to worry about it on Thanksgiving or the day after.
3. Look for Complimentary Gift Cards
Target often throws in complimentary gift cards with select purchases. For example, the Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 Camera is $20 off AND you get a Free $15 Target GiftCard with purchase. I save these up and give them away as holiday gifts. Teachers especially love Target gift cards.
4. Download the Target App Before Black Friday
Target has has a history of offering early Target Black Friday deals to shoppers via its mobile app, so make sure you have the updated version installed on your phone. You can view the Target Black Friday ad on the app, find exclusive coupons, make lists, and save your favorite items.
5. Check out Slickdeals.net
Slickdeals has turned the Target Black Friday ad into a deal thread for the community to comment and vote on. This makes it easier for you to decide between great and not-so-great Black Friday Deals. In addition, you will find more useful tips about the best times to shop and more ways to save. You can find their Black Friday Target information by clicking here.
6. Remember Why You Are Shopping
We all get caught up in trying to find the best deals and giving the best gifts. However, it helps to stress less about the Holidays when you remember why you are shopping. You have loved ones that you care about. You want to show those people that you care. So, I know this is a post about shopping, but remember that traditions and togetherness during the Holidays is what your loved ones will remember most. For tradition ideas, check out this post, Give Your Child the Gift of Gratitude.
I hope these tips help you to stress less and save money – so you can get back to important things – like enjoying your Thanksgiving leftovers. And you can always go to Target when it’s less crowded and enjoy the Christmas festivities!
