Hi there and welcome! I’m Kat and I created Tons of Goodness, a blog and inspirational shop, to help women and their families learn simple ways to build a happier and healthier life. I hope to help you become more confident, empowered, and successful in your health journey through education and community.
Professionally, I am a nationally certified school psychologist and have spent over ten years working with preschool age children. My education and background are in psychology, education, and research.
In the area of food and nutrition, I completed the Health Coach Certification program through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute in 2015. I have been interested in nutrition and exercise since college. However, I began researching health and nutrition intensely before having our daughter in 2013. I wanted to make sure that I was healthy for her and I wanted to make sure that I was providing her with the best nutrition for her development and wellness.
In my blog I may speak about specific diets, but I don’t think that there is just one way of eating that fits everyone. I believe in helping people develop a way of eating based on non-processed, nourishing, real foods, in a way that works for them! You will find that most of the recipes I provide will be dairy free and gluten free. As I will discuss in future posts I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis in 2014. Hashimoto’s is a frustrating and sometimes debilitating autoimmune disorder in which antibodies directed against the thyroid gland
In my free time, I love spending time with my family, hiking, photography, writing, cooking, and reading. I love trying new workouts and finding new ways to be active. I also love to travel and hope to do that more!
Most importantly, I want to thank you for taking the time to visit this site! It means the world to me and I wouldn’t be here without you.
Wishing you tons of goodness in your life,
